WELCOME to Uncommon Sense
Being raised in small farming communities in central Iowa, I am a member of a wonderful, loving family devoted to supporting each other and every day to be humbly thankful for the blessings bestowed upon us by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I've been blessed with two tremendously supportive parents who, from a very young age, encouraged me to learn and try new things with the confidence that we don't know what we can do unless we try.

As a graduate of Iowa State University, I was the first in my family to graduate with a post-high school degree. Since then, I've been blessed with wonderful opportunities in my life and professional career to continue leveraging that inclination to learn and try new things that my parents encouraged me to do. Things don't always turn out the way we want but those, not the successes, are the best opportunities for learning and I am grateful for them all.

As a result, my life experience has been broad with extreme highs and extreme lows, probably like most people. It is due to those experiences and the perspectives I've gleaned from them that I now feel compelled to share some 'uncommon sense' with you.
Hopefully, you will find it helpful and we can find this 'uncommon sense' creeping its way back into the mainstream of our society's conscious ways of being.
